I am so honored that I recently had two prints accepted into the General Collection of Professional Photographers of America's 2016 International Photographic Competition. Both pieces will be on display at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX, Jan. 8-10, 2017 at an exhibition held in conjunction with Imaging USA, an annual convention for professional photographers, as well as traveling and special invitational displays. A panel of 46 eminent jurors from across the United States selected the top photographs from nearly 5,700 total submitted entries at Gwinnett Technical College in Georgia. Judged against a standard of excellence, just over 2,428 images were selected for the General Collection. This was my very first print competition of any kind, so I was thrilled to have prints score high enough to be accepted in the collection!
Throw Back Thursday to learning how to sit unassisted, rolling over and tummy time! Check out the sweet sugar drool that rolled out during tummy time!
This Throw Back Thursday brings you sweet Porter and his First birthday. Porter came to the Greensboro studio for his One Year portrait session and Cake Smash. He was such a happy boy and gave us a TON of smiles as you can tell from the images. He had several special outfits to wear that his big brother Isaac had worn when he was the same age. The cake smash was a big hit with Porter. He LOVED playing in the icing, squishing it between his fingers, putting it on the balloons, and eating it too! He dug right in and had a blast demolishing the cake.
I have some blogging to get caught up on, so here goes!Sadie came into the Greensboro studio for her One Year Portrait session and Cake Smash. Her Mom made this sweet outit for her First Birthday as well as the banner we used during the Cake Smash. Sadie is definitely a girly girl and was full of herself during the session as well as full of smiles. She did not want to SIT on anything, but was very happy to STAND on every prop that we used! As you can tell from the images, Sadie was in charge of the session! She had a blast cramming as much cake as possible into her mouth. I think she was afraid that we might not give her the whole cake! I love the sugar drool rolling down her chest during the cake smash! ...
I know the weather is trying to turn warm here, but I couldn't help but share these images from our first snow here in Greensboro. Two beautiful, pregnant women were brave enough to venture out in the glistening snow for some magnificent maternity pictures. I couldn't wait to use this white fur-trimmed cape that was perfect for the winter scene. Plus, it kept them warm since it was fleece lined! Thanks Vanessa and Jetaunn for being so adventurous!
