Because Time Flies. It's my tag line. I believe it with my heart and soul. When my children were little, my mother used to say, "You will blink and they will be off to kindergarten." And off they all went. Then it was, "You will blink, and they will be graduating from college." Yes, that happened too! David and I are empty nesters now with only our youngest left to graduate from college. The other three have graduated and gone on to real life jobs and marriage for our oldest. We even have a GRANDSON! Each phase of life has gone by faster and faster. Although some of the days seemed SO long when the children were small, all of the years flew by SO fast! How does that happen?
This session is a perfect example of how time flies. It is so hard for me to believe that this beautiful Momma is even old enough to be a Momma! It makes me feel old! I have known Lindsay since she was about three years old. Her mom Kim and I have been friends, well, forever! Lindsay grew up my with my children and a part of our family! Between dance lessons with my daughter Ashley, sleepovers with lots of dress up and "girlie" things, Nutcracker ballet nights, beach trips, MANY trips to the mountains to find the perfect Christmas tree, to her and Nic getting married, I have had the pleasure of watching Lindsay grow up. She has blossomed from being this sweet little girl with her "Toodles" baby doll into a beautiful young woman now with her own precious baby. Meet sweet lady Sadie! What an HONOR to be able to photograph their first family pictures and document this precious time in their lives!
Lindsay and Nic, please savor these precious days when your sweet Sadie is little. She will only fit into your arms like this for a little while. I promise, just like Grammie said, "You will blink and..."
