A little thank you, from my heart

A Grateful Pause After Christmas: Reflecting on a Year of Change and Support

This past year brought a studio move, unexpected challenges, and moments that tested our family in ways we didn’t anticipate. This post is a quiet thank-you — and a reflection on community, gratitude, and what’s ahead as we step into a new year.

Now that Christmas has passed and things have slowed down just a bit, I wanted to pause and reflect — and most of all, say thank you.

This past year has been a lot. A studio move, unexpected challenges, and some really difficult moments for our family asked more of us than we ever anticipated. Some seasons felt heavy and uncertain, and moments that stretched us in ways we didn’t see coming.

And through all of it, you showed up.

A Year of Support I’ll Never Forget

You continued to trust me with your families and your stories. You booked sessions, shared my name with friends, sent encouraging messages, and quietly supported my work from behind the scenes.

On days when things felt overwhelming, that support mattered more than you probably realize. It reminded me that this business isn’t just about photography — it’s about people, connection, and community.

Why Photography Will Always Be Personal to Me

Photography has never been just about taking pictures for me. It’s about connection. It’s about making women and families feel seen, confident, and celebrated exactly as they are in this season of life.

Every time you choose to work with me, recommend me, or even take a moment to follow along here, it reminds me why I love what I do so deeply. It’s an honor to document these fleeting moments and help turn them into memories that last.

Giving Ourselves Grace After the Holidays

As we settle into the days after Christmas, my hope is that your heart feels full. I hope you feel loved. And I hope you’re giving yourself a little extra grace and rest — because you truly deserve it.

The holidays can be beautiful and exhausting all at once, and it’s okay to move slowly as the new year approaches.

Looking Ahead to the New Year

As we head into the coming year, I’m feeling hopeful and excited. There are some beautiful, new things ahead — new ideas, new projects, and meaningful changes that I can’t wait to share.

If you’re part of this community, know that there is so much gratitude behind everything I create, and so much intention going into what’s next.

Thank you for sticking with me through a year of change. Thank you for trusting my vision. Thank you for being part of this journey.

I’m so grateful you’re here — and I can’t wait for what’s ahead.

As we step into the new year, what’s something you’re hopeful for? If you’d like, feel free to leave a comment — I love reading your thoughts.

Lisa Bunch - I’m so proud of you, Alicia, and the business you have built. I can’t wait to see the new studio.
