From Setbacks To New Beginnings: My Studio Move Story - Greensboro, NC Newborn Photographer

I haven't blogged in forever, but I figured there was no better time than now to start again and give you an update about my photography studio.

Life has a way of throwing curveballs, and the start of this year has been a testament to that. As many of you know, I recently moved my Greensboro, NC, Newborn photography studio to a new location, but the journey to get here wasn't easy, and it was filled with unexpected challenges.

Change is never easy, and the journey to moving my photography studio to a new location has been anything but smooth. But it’s also been a story of resilience, hope, and excitement for the future.

It all began when I found out my landlord was selling the building I was in. With no other option but to relocate, I started the challenging process of finding a new studio space. After months of searching, I finally found a wonderful place—but the move wasn’t as easy as I had hoped.

Packing up a studio is no small task. I spent long days and nights sorting through equipment, props, and countless memories. It was a huge undertaking, especially since I was downsizing. It was both emotionally and physically demanding, but I knew it would be worth it for the fresh start in a new space that would better serve my clients and me.

Just as I was preparing for the move, life threw me another curveball. My husband had a serious accident that changed everything. He broke his collarbone in three places, shattered eight ribs, and punctured his lung. He required surgery to repair the damage, including the placement of a titanium plate in his collarbone and a tube in his lung to prevent collapse. We spent a week in the hospital while he began the slow recovery process.

With my husband needing constant care and attention, the move became much more difficult and time-consuming than I ever anticipated. There were days when I wondered if it would ever all come together, but with patience and determination, I got through it. It was hard, it was stressful, and it was definitely one of the most challenging times I've faced. But through it all, I kept thinking about the exciting future ahead in my new space, and that kept me going.

Now, after what feels like a lifetime of challenges, I’m finally getting settled into my new studio. This new space is coming together, and I can’t wait to welcome you all here for your sessions. It’s going to be a place where I can continue to capture those precious moments and create memories that last a lifetime.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your patience and support throughout this transition. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you all.

I can't wait to see everyone at the new studio!
